How I Work
Once a project is finished, the photographs are what represent it when it’s shared, published, and remembered.
I’m a Devon-based photographer specialising in architectural and interior photography for architects, interior designers, and owners of distinctive homes and holiday properties across the South West.
I photograph architecture and interiors with care, patience, and attention to how a place is actually used. Homes, workspaces, studios, and special holiday homes. Spaces with a lived-in logic and a clear point of view.
Most projects benefit from time. Time to watch the light change. Time to understand how rooms connect. Time to let a place settle before the camera does its work.
I work methodically, and with respect for the people who live or work in the space. I’m there to help you show what you’ve made, properly.
The Process
Before the shoot
We chat through the brief, the purpose of the images, and how they’ll be used. For architects and designers, this often includes award submissions, editorial, or long-term portfolio use. Where helpful, I’ll advise on preparation, timing, and what to prioritise.
On the day
I work steadily and without rushing. There’s no fixed limit on the number of photographs taken. I keep going until the job feels complete, allowing time for light, proportion, and the rhythm of the space to reveal itself.
Afterwards
This is where much of the work happens. Careful selection, colour correction, retouching, and compositing where needed. The aim is photographs that hold up over time, whether they’re used for awards, press, websites, or carefully considered marketing.

Why Work With Me
My background is documentary-led photography. That carries through into how I approach architecture and interiors.
For architects, that means clarity, structure, and photographs that respect the intent of the build.
For interior designers, it means balance, material sensitivity, and an understanding of how choices sit together.
For estates, boutique hotels, restaurants, holiday homes, and hospitality spaces, it means photographs that invite people in and give a clear sense of what it’s like to be there.
I pay attention to light, proportion, and how people move through a space. Sometimes a human presence helps. Sometimes it doesn’t. I’ll advise either way.
